Otniel "OT" Echagarruga
Otniel is a mechanical engineer with broad experience across product design, manufacturing, and product quality. He began his career in the HVAC industry, supporting high-volume, custom-engineered products and learning firsthand how design decisions impact production efficiency. He later transitioned into aerospace and defense, where he provided engineering solutions to production defects and ensured overall product quality and regulatory compliance.
Throughout his career, Otniel has thrived on tackling complex challenges and naturally stepped into leadership roles — guiding teams, driving improvement, and bringing ideas from concept to completion. His passion for creating efficient, intelligent systems ultimately inspired him to found Hygeia Robotics, where he now applies that same problem-solving mindset to make home cleaning effortless through smart automation.
